Monty’s Bakehouse celebrates Future-scoping Business of the Year Award
Monty’s Bakehouse has been selected by the Onboard Hospitality Awards team to receive the Future-Scoping Business of the Year award. This was allocated by the judges to recognise our company’s commitment to industry-wide collaboration on sustainability.
Our Innovation Centre is open to all, as shown by our recent sustainability summit on 8th October, attended by airlines, suppliers and competitors alike. Through work done collaboratively on the summit, it’s now also home to the administrative and research function of the Airline Sustainability Forum (ASF). The ASF, through association with Imperial College London, The Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation launched the “UN-One Planet Global Tourism Plastics Directive” on the 22nd January 2020 and is now providing the airline industry with mapping and research to support the development of a sustainable global cabin waste supply chain.
Our IC also offers opportunities to innovate through our bespoke insight-driven Innovation Framework. We’ve designed the framework to offer authentic, industry-breaking and sustainable solutions ideated for clients and delivered to passengers as eco-friendly solutions.
We are proud to be an industry leader in innovation and are delighted to have won this award to compliment the work the Monty’s Bakehouse have produced so far. Due to COVID-19, the team couldn’t be together to celebrate this achievement but made their best efforts to celebrate online instead.
