Monty’s Bakehouse has always championed its local community and has invested in community projects across the years whilst also running volunteering opportunities for its’ own employees to support their own local causes. The Covid-19 crisis gave the company to further support key workers and vulnerable communities by donating over 75,000 free hot snacks and meals to NHS workers and local community projects across London and the South East. The company set up teams of colleagues within East Surrey Hospital to bake its meals to feed over 700 doctors and nurses a day and partnered up to deliver thousands more snacks across the country to those in need of food.

Inspired by the ability to share goodness across the country, Monty’s Bakehouse decided to take a bold step and venture into on-line order and home delivery with an ambition to help those who need it most – this is where the Community Kitchen Project was born.

The Community Kitchen Project is a frozen meal delivery service that supplies high quality and delicious meals to you to conveniently enjoy at home and every time you place an order The Community Kitchen Project give an identical meal to someone in your local community that needs your help. They aim to revolutionise how we all perceive ready meals by delivering restaurant quality meals that just happen to be frozen and are already seeing their early customers re-order and coming back for more. Comments from happy customers always surround the fantastic flavours of the food and the generous portion sizes too as Community Kitchen Project aims to satisfy with 400g single portions and 800g portions for two, significantly higher than most alternatives on-line.

They have launched the range with a variety of classic recipes that suit different dietary requirements, ranging from a succulent Fish Pie using fresh pieces of salmon from Norway and sustainably caught coley to a scrumptious three bean chilli that is finished with dark chocolate for an indulgent night in.

Whilst enjoying your meal in the comfort of your own home, you can also enjoy having that feeling of giving back. Each purchase made donates one of the same meals you have purchased and enjoyed to someone in need in your local community. The more purchases made, the more meals that will be gifted to your local community.

Instead of your usual delivery service, you will also find members of the Community Kitchen Project out and about delivering your products those in need. This allows the company to make their service more personable where required (whilst following social distancing requirements of course!) and allows them to collect your packaging from previous orders to ensure all packaging is recycled and disposed of correctly.

All the recipes are created using the company’s award-winning team of chefs, who will not be stopping at just ready meals. The brand will also be bringing a range of marinated BBQ meats and desserts straight to your door very soon.
