The Monty’s Bakehouse team.

In 2003, we began our journey by developing a range of hot snacks for sports grounds such as Twickenham Rugby Club and Chelsea FC, as well as universities and office canteens.

It was at a rugby match that Air Canada tried our products and invited us to take part in an airline tender for its hot snack service across the UK and Europe. We won the tender and secured our first airline supply contract. The rest, as the saying goes, is history!

As Mercury Award winners for best airline food and beverage product (plus The Baker and The Grocer Awards which followed), we were on our way to building the business we have today.

We are now recognised as one of the leading suppliers and innovators of high-quality packaged food solutions for travel markets across the world, with manufacturing facilities across the UK, Europe and Asia.

Monty’s Bakehouse Innovation Centre

In 2016, we moved to Priory Farm in the beautiful Surrey countryside where we have a Culinary Development Centre and offices.

In 2018, we opened our Innovation Centre, allowing us to fast-track product and packaging development in a state-of-the-art facility using the latest graphic design, packaging printing and forming technologies.

We proudly joined the SATS family in 2020. SATS is Asia’s leading provider of food solutions and gateway services, spanning 60 locations and 13 countries across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

Headquartered in Singapore, SATS has a turnover of £4 billion and an excellent track record for high quality and operational excellence, serving international clients such as the Singapore Airlines Group, British Airways, Qantas, Air France, KLM, Finnair and more.

Joining SATS was a huge step for us and we’re thrilled that our clients can now benefit from an even wider range of products, manufacturing solutions and innovations from around the globe.

In 2022, we began to develop solutions for the retail market, where our customers seek the same quality and integrity that make us a dependable partner to our aviation customers.

Despite the growth we have enjoyed since 2004, our values remain unchanged… We still start each day with a product tasting to ensure quality never falters! We still huddle regularly to review our tasks that protect the service levels we demand for our clients. We also always keep an eye on the latest culinary trends and packaging innovations to make sure we remain ahead of our competition.
