Background
Monty’s Bakehouse is a wholly owned subsidiary of SATS, Singapore. SATS are Asia’s leading airline caterer which also sells its products and services into a wide range of non-airline sales channels via SATS manufacturing units in Singapore, China and throughout SE Asia. SATS also has trading relationships with many of the world’s leading food brands. Monty’s Bakehouse works to an outsourced contract manufacturing model entering in to partnerships with multiple third party suppliers, located across the world, to produce and supply a range of products to suit the needs of its clients.

Job Purpose
The Head of Product leads the full product development lifecycle for Monty’s Bakehouse—from concept and packaging development through line trials, technical approval, quality management and launch.
This role champions the company’s standards for quality, innovation and service, delivering a pipeline of multiple, concurrent NPD projects aligned with business strategy.
The role manages a multidisciplinary team of development chefs, NPD specialists and technical professionals, and works closely with the wider SATS group to maintain a commercially strong, market-relevant product portfolio.
Key Accountabilities
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver multiple NPD projects simultaneously.
Define and drive Monty’s culinary and product development vision, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals.
Direct the Culinary, Product Development and Technical teams in collaborating with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to develop and commercialise product concepts.
Oversee quality assurance and technical specification processes, ensuring all products meet food safety, legal and quality standards.
Support the COO in building and maintaining strong partnerships with third-party manufacturers, enabling collaborative, strategy-aligned initiatives.
Contribute to customer retention, growth and acquisition by developing and presenting compelling product and innovation propositions.
Maintain up-to-date insight into market, culinary and technology trends, sharing opportunities that inspire and shape future product development.
Sponsor or lead major product development projects and provide expertise across wider business initiatives.
Act as a cross-functional leader and role model, promoting teamwork, collaboration and a high-performance culture.
Ensure Product Development processes for food and packaging are robust, efficient and consistently deliver high-quality, commercially viable products.
Work closely with manufacturing partners to align on technologies, processes and capabilities, ensuring scalable, compliant and cost-effective product execution.

Experience Required
· Proven experience developing and manufacturing high-quality food products within a technology- and improvement-driven environment.
· Strong culinary expertise and ability to translate concepts into commercially viable, scalable products.
· Solid understanding of food legislation, technical requirements and quality standards.
· Confident presenter with the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
· Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate effectively across functions.
· Experience with outsourced manufacturing and contract manufacturing environments.
