Job Purpose
The Sales Support Executive will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks, in order to support our Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers. The individual will be responsible for managing a number of internal sales processes, working to deadlines, and escalating any issues should they arise. The Sales Support Executive will have a strong customer service focus, an eye for detail and the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and on occasions external customers. This is a key role, where the individual has an opportunity to make a significant contribution to achieving the objectives of the sales department and the wider business.
Key Accountabilities
1. Undertake a variety of administrative tasks to support the sales process and ensure the success and follow up of client meetings.
2. Manage a number of sales processes including the company’s Sales Sample process, to ensure that samples are prepared and delivered to customers locally and overseas in a timely and efficient manner.
3. Support Sales Team in the overall preparation for customer presentations both remotely and at Monty’s Bakehouse.
4. Update and maintain the CRM database, currently Salesforce, ensuring the information is up to date and facilitates effective communications with potential and existing clients.
5. Development of materials to support sales across multiple customer types and geographies, such as Catalogues, presenters etc
6. Champion the use of AI in the sales function, to improve quality and speed of delivery
7. Undertake detailed research on the market, sector, clients and products to provide useful intel to build and develop market knowledge and awareness of consumer trends / behaviours, to support the acquisition, retention and growth of the company’s client base.
8. Oversee the management of the electronic filing system on behalf of the sales team, ensuring the accurate filing, version control and management of all relevant documentation.
9. Build and maintain relationships with external contacts and internal colleagues.
Experience Required
· Strong service background with experience of working in a customer focused role requiring an understanding of how to develop business relationships – external and internal.
· Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce preferred.
· A good command of the English language both orally and written. Languages in addition to English would be an advantage but not essential.
· Good communication skills, with the ability to develop these in order to engage successfully when speaking, presenting or writing to clients.
· Highly organised, strong attention to detail, with excellent time management abilities.
· To self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a desire to progress and grow in the company and expand their role and responsibilities.
