New Product! Snack Pack

We know that time is at a premium in the sky and we are always looking for ways to improve the quality of our products whilst reducing handling time for the crew.  The new Monty’s Bakehouse Snack Pack certainly goes a long way to deliver this in order to support the crew whilst ensuring passengers have a delicious tasty light meal.

How? Well, the Snack Pack boasts two unique features to guarantee a fresh second serve meal;

1.    The Freeze-Thaw Design;

·      Each meal has been freshly frozen in the kitchen to lock in the freshness and seal in the carefully curated blend of flavours so it tastes as good as the day it was made, whilst offering a longer shelf life.

·      Crew simply thaw the entire Snack Pack in the catering facility prior to being loaded on board the aircraft, so it is ready to serve. This reduces crew handling and preparation time in flight without compromising on taste.

2.    Unique Baking Technology

Each Snack Pack contains a savoury and sweet component; the savoury component is Monty’s unique delicate, soft roll, which, unlike a traditional sandwich is co-extruded to completely envelop a generous portion of delicious tasting sandwich filling. This design delivers a beautifully presented and clean serve which prevents any leakage inside the box during transit or service. Most importantly it ensures the passenger receives a soft and fresh tasting bread roll for complete customer satisfaction – no soggy bread issues here! The second component is a moist sweet sponge to satisfy any sweet tooth. The Snack Pack is then hygienically sealed for passenger and crew reassurance.

In line with the Monty’s Bakehouse company mission on sustainability, each Snack Pack box is made using bio-degradable, compostable paperboard sourced from sustainably managed forests. The revolutionary compostable barrier inside the box protects the integrity of the paperboard and the food. And, the box features a beautiful new design to differentiate the product from their existing range to aid service on flight.

The Snack Pack is currently available in four mouth-watering recipes, to appeal to all tastebuds.

·      Farmhouse-style Chicken, Aromatic Basil and Ripe Tomato in a freshly baked roll served with a Zesty Lemon Sponge.

·      Classic Egg and Sweet Tomato in a freshly baked roll served with a deliciously Rich Chocolate Sponge, suitable for vegetarians.

·      Creamy and Spicy Coronation Chickpea in a freshly baked roll served with a deliciously Rich Chocolate, also suitable for vegetarians.

·      Chunky Chicken Salsa in a freshly baked roll served with a Zesty Lemon Sponge.
