Monty's Bakehouse launch safe "Low-Touch" airline food solutions

Monty’s Bakehouse is delighted to present our new range of product and packaging concepts to support the airline industry in creating a safe and secure journey for its passenger’s post COVID-19. 

These concepts are in response to our insight and research, as well as listening to our clients throughout the crisis. They build on and enhance our current reputation for high quality, secure and innovative products and sustainable packaging. 

The new range focuses heavily on minimising interaction between the crew and passengers, as well as customer hygiene.  Our concepts will allow passengers to collect their food and beverage offering either at the departure gate, on their seat or offered by the cabin crew in a single movement.  

Monty’s Bakehouse has combined a wide range of carefully selected products, secure and safety conscious sustainable packaging as well as PPE to enable every airline to provide their passengers with choice and reassurance. One concept includes a ‘Snack in Pack’ solution which has a handle for practicality, a window panel and a secured tear strip which gaurantees safety, reassurance and hygiene for passengers.

Another solution designed by Monty’s Bakehouse includes the ½ sized tray box, which can be served by crew onboard. This solution is a sealed tamper-proof box containing a selection of products including the ability to slide a Monty’s Bakehouse hot component through the side of the tray before handing to passengers.

These solutions have already been met with very positive feedback from airline and industry professionals.  Alongside working on developing new solutions, Monty’s Bakehouse has been busy extending its range of hot hand held snacks which now include filled bagels. We have also launched a stunning range of entree meals that can be dropped into many of the C-19 packaging concepts minimising crew-passenger handling.
